a story from Boston

My friend Ben, with no encouragement from me (which makes my day), went to see Dan Bern in Boston last month, and recently told me this charming little story:

Hey I saw this son of a bitch in Boston. He took a break to pee and I asked him as he walked past me back to mike I said "Hey, could you find it in your heart to play Jerusalem?" and he said "I'll look real deep." He played it.

Also, there are 4 or so newly posted videos on youtube from a show at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana from last fall. My sister goes to Earlham, and we went to the show, and it was pretty great. Aw, except for the part where Dan had hurt his leg playing tennis earlier that day. So they (Bernstein, Paul Kuhn and Garrin Benfield) played the whole show sitting down. Which was just kinda odd. But ok.
